From a personal note, I really love Death Knight because of one very simple reason. The name itself is epic. Yup, I know it sounds silly. But that is the primary reason why Death Knight is my personal favorite mastery.

Enough of my sillyness. For those who are not yet aware, Death Knight is a mastery combination of Soldier and Necromancer. There are lots of possible customization for this mastery, but the build variants in this article will let you finish ultimate difficulty including hard to defeat hidden bosses.

Speed Leveling Build

Before anything else, you should build your Death Knight first for speed leveling. Using this speed level build will let you reach level 50 in 3 to 5 hours (expert players can do it around 2 hours), saving yourself a lot of time.

Proceeding with the build, pick necromancer first and max out Raise Skeletons, Undead Legion, and Will of the Crypt. Then equip a two-handed melee weapon, learn Forcewave with Tremor until Rendering Force only. Having a max out Squad Tactics from Field Command (just put single point on field command) is also recommended for overall increase in your damage output. Until you reach level 50, the last skill that you are going to learn is Summon Blight Fiend from necromancer.

Regarding Devotions, the primary choice is Fiend with attach Flame Torrent to Raise Skeletons.

Finally, once you reach level 50, it's time for you to choose which build below suited your playstyle.
